Jane has studied art at the University of Texas, the University of Tennessee, Boston Museum of Art and Arrowmont. With the onset of 2002 Jane entered her experimental watercolors into juried shows. This work has been accepted into shows sponsored by the Texas Watercolor Society, the Tennessee Watercolor Society, Tennessee Artists Association, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, the Eastern Washington Watercolor society, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, the Laredo Center for the Arts, Watercolor West, the Kerrville Art Club, San Antonio Watercolor Society, Guadalupe Watercolor Group of Kerrville, Waterloo Watercolor Group of Austin, Kerr Arts and Cultural Center, Mesilla Valley Fine Arts, the Midland Arts Association, and San Antonio Art League, the Knoxville Watercolor Society, and the Dogwood Arts Festival. Some of the works have received awards in the shows.

Jane is a signature member of Texas Watercolor Society. She is also a Purple Sage Brush member of the Sage Brush Society, which is sponsored by the Texas Watercolor Society and was designed to honor signature members in TWS who have continued to promote the advanement of watercolor through professional competitions. Jane is also a charter member of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C., member of the Edgar Degas Foundation in New Orleans, Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram and Kerr Arts and Cultural Center of Kerrville.

Her work is in priviate collections throughout the US, and in England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, China , Japan and Canada.
